My Must-Have Haircare Products For A Disney World Vacation

**Follow my blog if you’re loving these Disney World topics! I’d love to have you along for the journey, and to cater even more to what all of my fellow Disney World fans want to hear about. I look forward to your input!**

I wish I could say that I’m the type of person who is totally okay with letting my hair do whatever it wants to do. That’s just not me. I’m a 24 year old girl who likes to feel pretty, and it’s nice to have my hair looking great in case of an impromptu selfie or PhotoPass picture. For me, keeping my hair looking great comes down to just a few crucial products (and tricks/techniques.)

*Absolutely none of the below products are sponsored or affiliates. Just products I really love and really endorse! I linked them for you to browse*

1. Batiste Dry Shampoo:

This is my #1, go-to dry shampoo. There was about a year where I could not, for the life of me, find a dry shampoo that worked well for me. I had virtually given up on dry shampoo altogether. But, when my coworker needed a hair product one morning, I grabbed a travel bottle of Batiste at the store. Since I had it in hand, I decided to give it a try. It was in that moment that my life changed forever. Okay, that’s dramatic, but you know what I mean. It makes my hair look fresh, it gives me the perfect amount of texture, and it keeps it volumized. I mean, what more could a girl ask for?

2. Scrunchies:

No, not hair ties. Scrunchies. Why, you ask? Well there’s a few solid reasons. They’re cute! Yeah, I know. They were cool in the 90’s. But they are SO back. They can be colorful, pattered, even different fabrics. A good scrunchie can be both a helpful haircare item while being a super cute accessory. Scrunchies can also give you the perfect, “rolled out of bed” hair. Take your scrunchie and start putting your hair in a ponytail like normal. On the last pull-through, only pull half of your hair through to make that little bubble shaped bun. Leave this in overnight, and you will wake up in the morning with a great little wave! If you’re the type of person who wants a cute hairdo without using a styling tool, the scrunchie wave is the thing for you. If you haven’t already, go check out Kaitlyn Bristowe’s scrunchie line, Dew Edit. Kaitlyn has a way with designing scrunchies of different styles, patterns, and fabrics so that you have the perfect hair (or wrist) accessory for any outfit!

3. (For my blonde girls) Purple Shampoo:

The great thing about purple shampoo is that it’s not meant for daily use. So even if you’re only taking a carry-on bag for your week long vacation, you can put some purple shampoo in an empty travel bottle and fit it right in your quart size ziplock bag with the rest of your liquids and gels! (Also if you can manage a carry-on only for a week long trip, please teach me your ways.) The great part about Disney World is that many of the hotels right now are trying to limit the use of wasted plastic. That being said, the hotels are beginning to install full size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash into the showers to eliminate all of the wasted plastic from the tiny, reusable bottles. Trade in your purple shampoo every other or every third wash to keep your hair from getting brassy, and you’ll spend your entire trip being a beautiful, blonde goddess. (I’m pretty sure blue shampoo acts similarly for my darker haired girls, but as a blondie myself I’m definitely not as well-versed.)

The thing about “must-have” products is that they can change all the time. Right now, I couldn’t imagine a Disney vacation without these 3 haircare products at my fingertips. As my list changes (or simply just gets longer) I’ll be sure to update you all! I will also update you soon on my haircare tips and tricks to keep your locks looking gorgeous, fresh, and picture perfect all day long. (Unless you decide to give Splash Mountain or Kali River Rapids free reign. Then even I can’t help ya!)
