To start off our Disney World theme park overview, we are going to head to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Here, you will find some of the Disney World properties biggest and best (in my humble opinion) thrill rides AND one of the best theme lands on the entire property. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror are two of Disney World’s best thrill rides. If you ask me, Tower of Terror is actually one of my top 3 favorite rides. There’s something about the Twilight Zone theming paired together with a unique drop style ride that makes the perfect mix of Disney magic and adrenaline boosting thrill.
I also mentioned that there’s one of the best themed lands here in Hollywood Studios. New to the park July 2018, you can find yourself as one of the toys in Andy’s backyard in Toy Story Land. Here, you will find some incredible, family friendly rides. But don’t let the term “family friendly” fool you. As a 24 year old, there is nothing quite like competing with your friends or significant other in Toy Story Mania and (maybe) making a little bit of fun out of it with a bet!
You will also find the lands own unique, counter-service restaurant. For those of you who don’t know, counter-service is Disney’s version of a “fast food.” You head to one of the many cashiers, give them your order, and you pick it up at the window behind them. In Toy Story Land, you can find the counter-service location at Woody’s Lunchbox. With many options that remind you of a standard lunchbox meal, there’s something for everyone to enjoy! Not to mention, us young adults (21+) can enjoy a beer or a Grown Up Lemonade. For me, I paired my grilled cheese sandwich with an Angry Orchard. That’s basically just like apple juice, right?
Coming soon to Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a brand new land. Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge will fully immerse you into the Star Wars world. Disney’s Hollywood Studios location of Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge is set to open in Fall of this year. We don’t yet have an official opening date, but I can assure you I will let you know as soon as we have that information!
There’s more to do that just attractions at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. There are various shows, shopping locations, and dining options all throughout the park. The best part about the Disney World parks is that there is so much to do! You can go back year after year and have a completely different experience each time by simply trying out a new show or eating lunch at a new location.
Lastly, and most importantly to me, it’s crucial that each Disney fan, young to old, visit “Walk Disney Presents” back near the entrance to Toy Story Land. Walt Disney Presents is a nice, walk through museum of all things Walk Disney. You will see personal artifacts from Walt’s life as well as full scale models of different park concepts that came to his head. It’s fascinating to see concept art of what Walt dreamed up for Disney. Without Walt, none of this would be possible, and I wouldn’t be able to blog about all things Disney World. We all owe it to Walt to step into “Walt Disney Presents” and learn more about is legacy.
